The cottage is ideal for holiday makers wanting good value for money accommodation. It is equipped with modern basic appliances suitable for self-catering, and to make your stay comfortable. Some of the original features of the cottage have been retained such as; exposed stone walls, wooden beams and inglenook fireplace, a log-burner that substitutes for a range. Some modern appliances such as television and telephone are not included in the cottage, but with portable televisions and mobile phones you can easily bring these with you. Interior pictures of the cottage will give you a good indication of what to expect. Our Ebay auctions have provided us with good feedback, though now we are just getting direct business through the search engines. We have just set up a page on Facebook where you can leave comments about the cottage and the area. Both these sources of feedback should give you confidence in booking the cottage for a holiday.

Winter bookings. The cottage is available all the year round for holidays. The electric shower is not so good at heating the very cold water in the winter, but hopefully, you can survive with a mildly warm shower, or just a flannel wash, if neccessary. Imagine how tough it must have been for the Slate Miners living here without modern conveniences.

Prices are set to reflect a low season rate all the year round. Snowdonia looks beautiful in the winter just as much as in the summer. Seasoned hill-walkers will appreciate this

Relax around a real fire. During the winter months after a day's recreation, you can appreciate the warmth and glow of a real log fire as you settle in for the evening with a bottle of your favourite wine or beer.
